NYFW takes over Studio 525

Viktor&Rolf

Fashion week at Studio 525 kicked off with an explosion of color from Viktor&Rolf, with a luxury dinner for their signature fragrance, Flowerbomb. Celebrating Emily Ratajkowski's (@emrata) revelation as the new face of the fragrance line, Viktor&Rolf installed a hanging floral bouquet made of over a metric ton of roses to honor the occasion. The bouquet was hung from our historic steel beams which can support 3200 lbs and made this dream install a reality. The bouquet floated over their gorgeous table setting, which accommodated 50 guests and VIPs including influencers, Vogue editors, models, and the namesakes of Viktor&Rolf. In the entryway of Studio 525, a photographer met the celebrities and took their picture on a pink backdrop, and were then greeted with signature cocktails. After the dinner, the guests moved downtown to Jean's for a luxurious afterparty.

Palomo Spain

Next, Palomo Spain loaded in their Fall/Winter 2023 collection "The Closet," which showcased an array of colorful puffer coats, bow-topped boots, fur hoods, and sleek gowns. For the runway presentation, the models got ready in Studio B before making a grand entrance through the alcove, where a classical trio played Spanish baroque music. The trio consisted of Marc Armitano Domingo (@botticelliagels), Chelsea Bernstein (@chelsbernstein) and Dušan Balarin (@dusanbalarin). Palomo invited over 200 guests, who lined the walls of the alcove and Studio A. The show ended with the models doing a ceremonial walk down the runway, followed by the creative director, Alejandro Gómez Palomo.

NAYON KIM

NAYON KIM wrapped up fashion week at Studio 525. This new brand from South Korea installed a breathtaking yet elegant platform in the center of Studio A where mannequins displayed the collection of chic monochromatic sets, dresses, and tops. Spotlights beamed onto the silver foil that filled the platform, dazzling the collection in a shimmer. The clothing focuses on clean silhouettes made of quality fabrics, accessorized by metal belts, broaches, and bracelets. Lim Kim (@limkim12121), a rising K-Pop star, gave performances to the visitors adding to the powerful mood of the collection.

We couldn't have asked for a better week. Thank you to the production companies, security, AV, cleaning, and the brands for making this all possible. This was my first fashion week in New York, and I'm proud to say that I survived without any damages.
