FAQ/Commonly Asked Questions:

How can we unload in front of the venue?

Parking permits can be obtained to ensure access to a parking spot directly in front of our venue. We are located on a quiet block, so you can typically secure a spot in front of Studio 525 early morning.

Are we able to brand the exterior of the building?

Yes, we allow clients the opportunity to create great branding experiences, such as door vinyls, step & repeats, etc.

How much weight can we rig from the beams?

We can rig 400lbs at each point where our beams meet, allowing up to 3,200 lbs of rigging in the main space.

Can we paint, drill into, or attach things to the walls?

Yes, we do accommodate any customizations requested, as long as the walls are reverted back to a clean white state at the end of the event. Please refer to our Wall Usage Guidelines in the downloadable toolkit.

Are we able to cover the skylight?

Yes, the skylight can be covered with advanced notice. Pricing can be discussed if interested in this service.

What is your square footage?

5,000 sq ft. Please refer to our Floorplan in the downloadable toolkit.

How tall are your ceilings?

The lowest point is 11.5ft, and the tallest point is 27ft.

Can I drive a car into the space?

Absolutely. Studio 525 is located on the ground level with a very large 11.5ft x 11.5ft entry way. From there, we have one more passageway that is 88 inches wide, and can fit the majority of vehicles.

Can I bring in large objects?

Yes, as long as they are within 11.5ft high x 7.3ft wide.

Do you have exclusive vendors?

We do not have exclusive vendors. We are happy to provide a list of our favorite vendors for catering, audio visual, security, etc. but clients are welcome to bring in any vendor they prefer.

What are noise restrictions in the venue?

We kindly request that any loud music ends by 11pm. Studio 525 is located on a residential block, so we always aim to be respectful of our neighbors.

What is your capacity?

Our space comfortably allows a capacity of approximately 40-280 guests. We can also accommodate multiple different layouts and configurations within the space.

How much power is available in the space?

We have a total of 400amps phase power. Please refer to our Power Plan in the downloadable toolkit.

How much internet is available? Can we increase the bandwidth?

We have 50 mbps upload and 50 mbps download available. We also have the ability to increase this if required for an additional fee.

Can I customize my Wifi network name for my event?

Certainly. Advanced notice is preferred so we can customize it in a timely manner.

Is AV included in the rental?

We do have high-end speakers on-site, owned and managed by Oxygen Eventworks, but we allow clients to bring in any AV vendors they prefer. If you decide to use Oxygen, we would be happy to connect you with the team.

What attractions are in the neighborhood?

We are located in the West Chelsea Arts District, right off the Highline. Main attractions include Chelsea Market, Hudson Yards, Little Island, Gagosian Gallery, Chelsea Piers, The Standard Highline.

Do you have any other venues?

In addition to Studio 525, we also have Studio Hudson, which is a spacious and completely open-air space across the street from the Javits Center.

What are your COVID policies?

We do not have any required protocols on the venue side. Any decision made on how to best handle any of the COVID polices is ultimately left to each of our clients within the New York City mandates and guidelines.
